Today I posting Ada pradhaman...My most favorite dessert which was I learnt from my sithi (mom's younger sister).

INTRODUCTION
Ada Pradhaman is a sweet dish in the form of a thick liquid similar to payasam but with more variety in terms of ingredients and more elaborately made. It is made with white sugar or jaggery to which milk or coconut milk added. Ada pradhaman is made from rice.

    • Contains all amino acids which is essential for building maintains the muscle tissue and make up antibodies, enzymes and hormones.

    • Maintains blood sugar places

    • Aids in building strong bones 
    • Helps to prevent anemia 
    • Relaxing muscles and nerves control weight
    • Lowering High Blood Pressure 
    • Remedy for cough and throat pain.

INGREDIENTS
Ada flakes - 1 pocket (200 gms)
Sugar - 1 cup
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Salt - pinch
Cardamom pods - 5
Water - to soak and boil ada, to extract coconut milk



METHOD

  • First boil water and soak the ada for 15 minutes.





  • Then extract the coconut milk with cardamom pods with water.





















  • Boil water (I used the ada soaked water) in a pan mix the soaked ada with pinch of salt till it cooks well if it will be too watery take one cup of water from it.




































  • Now switch off the flame and add 1 cup of sugar mix well.







  • Wait for sometime to cool the pradhaman mixture to pour coconut milk, if we pour in hot condition it turns curdle.




  • Now serve hot or cold.

YUMMY ADA PRADHAMAN IS READY!!!


NOTE

  1. You can add jaggery instead of white sugar.
  2. Use milk instead of coconut milk.
  3. You can add ghee fried raisins and cashew nuts.
