Hi
friends, for past two days raining here. Very cool and enjoying the climate
after hot summer. Must be all will be enjoying the rain here to get rid from
summer. So, I have prepared quick and healthy soup in the cool climate. Tomato
soup is very healthy and tasty and you can make it very quick. No oil required
to make the yummy and colorful soup.
I
bought the Bangalore tomatoes to make sauce but I did not do it, finally my mom
made thakkali thokku and in the remaining tomatoes I have prepared the soup, I added little moong dal to get thickness. No corn flour, No cream in the soup... I
love the taste and aroma of the soup much and enjoyed every sip. I have shared cabbage soup for weight loss diet.

INGREDIENTS
Tomatoes
– 4
Moong
dal – 2 Tbsp
Onion
– 1
Garlic
– 10, small
Oregano
– 2 Tsp
Roasted
Cumin seed powder – ½ Tsp
Black
pepper powder – To taste
Salt
– To taste
Water
– 4 Cups
METHOD
- Chop the tomatoes, onion and keep it aside.
- Boil 4 cups of water and moong dal, tomatoes, onion and garlic and allow cooking till the dal and tomatoes tender.
- Cool it till warm, drain the dal and tomato mixture and reserve the veg stock and then blend it into smooth paste.
- Now transfer the paste into the sauce pan, add veg stock stir it and again keep it on low flame.
- Add salt, oregano, roasted cumin seed and pepper powder stir it and allow boiling for 5 minutes, then switch off the flame.
- Serve it hot…
