INGREDIENTS
Kovvakai/Tindora - 1/4 Kg
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Cumin seeds - 2 Tsp
Dry red chillies - 3-4
Shallots - 1/4 Cup
Tamarind - Small gooseberry size
Sesame seeds - 1 Tbsp
Coconut, scraped - 1 Tbsp
Salt - To taste
To Temper
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 Tsp
Urad dal - 1 Tsp
Dry curry leaves - Few
METHOD
- Wash and chopped the tindora and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds wait for sputter.
- Add dry red chillies and then add shallots saute it for 2 minutes.
- Then add chopped tindora and tamarind saute it with salt till it cooked well.
- Add sesame seeds, scraped coconut and saute it for other 2 minute and then switch off the flame.
- Cool it completely and blend it with little water.
- Heat oil for tempering, add tempering ingredients and pour it in tindora chutney.
- Serve it with idli/dosa...
