FRIED RICE

Fried rice is very tempting and very easy to prepare. In our home, everyone loves fried rice. I know most of you already know how to cook fried rice, but I am sharing my version today.

Ingredients

Basmati rice – 2 cups

Onion (finely chopped) – 1 cup

Garlic paste – 2 tsp

Carrot (diced) – ½ cup

Beans (diced) – ½ cup

Cabbage (chopped) – ½ cup

Soy sauce – 1 tsp

Chilli sauce – 1 tsp

Pepper – as per taste

Salt – as per taste

Oil – as needed

Method

  • Cook 2 cups of basmati rice with 3–4 cups of water. Spread the cooked rice and allow it to cool.
  • Cut all the vegetables into small pieces.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add garlic paste and chopped onion. Sauté until a nice aroma comes.
  • Add carrot, beans, and cabbage. Stir-fry on high flame. Do not overcook; the vegetables should remain crunchy.
  • Add chilli sauce, soy sauce, pepper, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked rice and gently mix everything together. Adjust pepper and salt as needed.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with chilli gobi 🌶️
