Hi friends, Today I posting Rava Upma... All you know the Rava upma and it doesn't need any introduction for that... Me n my dad love this so much with sugar!!!

INGREDIENTS
Oil - 2 Tsp
Mustard and urad dal - 1 Tsp
Dry red chillies - 3
Green chilly - 1
Shallots - 10 chopped
Curry leaves - 1 stick
Salt - to taste
Water - 2 cup
Roasted Semolina/Sooji - 1 cup
Gingelly/Sesame Oil - 1 Tsp





METHOD
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard and urad dal wait it for splutter.

  • Add dry red chilles then add shallots, curry leaves and green chillies with little salt fry for 2 minutes.































  • Now add 2 cups of water with salt, let it boil well, cover with lid.









  • When boiling well add semolina/sooji to this and stir well in a low flame.








  • When half cooked the semolina/sooji add gingelly/sesame oil to it and mix well then switch off the flame cover with lid and stand for 5 minutes.









  • Serve hot with Sugar/Coconut chutney.

    1. Hi Prathima , thanks dear for your comments... Sesame oil having unique taste, so when we add this to upma it will give good extra taste for upma dear... try out next time n tell me your feedback...

  6. The authentic recipe with shallots looks delicious. Some may add chopped ginger n garlic but i do in ur way, whatever fastfood comes weekly once I am supposed to do for my hubby :)
