The peanut or Ground nut (Arachis hypogaea) is a species in the legume or bean family. The peanut was probably first domesticated and cultivated in the valleys of Paraguay. Boiled peanuts are in popular in some places where peanuts are common. Fully mature peanuts do not make good quality boiled peanuts; rather raw or green ones are used. It can be many variations like Peanut oil, Peanut flour and Peanut butter for cooking process. Boiled Peanuts are a popular snack in the southern United States, as well as in India, China and West Africa.

Raw shelled peanuts/ground nuts - 1/2 kg

METHOD
- First wash the peanuts in the running tap water to remove sand from it. Repeat the process if still sand presents.
- Put the peanuts in the microwave proof bowl, add salt and water and keep it in the MW Oven for 20 Minutes on high power and check after 15 minutes whether its cooked or not.
- Drain the water from the bowl and serve it...
Great tip of boiling peanuts at home ... I love them .. We buy from street vendors but now I will try at home :-)
