PINK CASHEW PEDA I KAJU STRAWBERRY PEDA I DIWALI SWEETS

Hi friends, here is my another sweet treat for you all for the diwali. I wish to make kaju katli, but I made the kaju peda… Actually, I try to grind the cashews in my small mixie jar but unexpectedly, it got repair so grind it with other jar but I get coarse powder only. Like this, I made the yummy cashew peda and it’s so wonderful in taste and nutty flavor  I already made KAJU FLOWER and ROSE FLAVORED KAJU MILK ROLL for last diwali, it will be so colorful and you will love it...



I made the peda in strawberry flavor  it tastes so good… N don’t worry if you fail with your kaju katli make the yummy peda and enjoy it… The taste is same of the katli…

INGREDIENTS
Cashew nuts – ½ Cup
Sugar – ¼ Cup
Water – 2.5 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 Tsp
Strawberry essence – ½ Tsp 
Milk – 1-2 Tsp (Optional)
Pistachios - 1 Tbsp Chopped



METHOD
  • Blend the cashew nuts in a dry mixer jar into coarse or smooth.
  • Take sugar and water in a non-stick pan and boil it low-medium flame.
  • Bring the syrup to single thread consistency.
  • Add cashew powder to it and keep stirring till the mixture leaves the pan.

  • And keep the dough into the greased counter top or any greased plate.
  • Add one tsp of ghee and strawberry essence kneads it for one minute.
  • Make equal size balls and flatten it by pressing between the greased palms.
  • Garnish with chopped pistachios and serve it warm or chilled.






NOTE
  • If your kaju katli will not come in right consistency too you can make the yummy peda.
  • If the dough is dry add a Tsp of milk and knead it but the shelf life is very short so keep it in refrigeration and consume within 2 days.



  • Add 1 Tbsp of milk powder, to get even more rich taste.
  • The dough is very hot so knead it carefully.
  • You can add any other flavor of your choice.
