Hi friends, in this
week I couldn’t post regularly, as I have lots of work in home because of my
mom’s fever. So not getting time to take pictures of the recipes and post here.
Surely, from next week onwards I will be back to normal for regular posts. I
have very limited recipes in my draft; have to make recipes for blog in coming
days.

INGREDIENTS
Vermicelli/Semiya – 1
Pocket (200g)
Oil – 1 Tbsp
Chana dal – 1 Tsp
Urad dal – 1 Tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
Dry red chillies –
3-4
Shallots – ¼ Cup
Chopped
Curry leaves – Few
Tomatoes – 2 Chopped
Carrot – ¼ Cup
(Peeled and Chopped)
Beans – ¼ Cup (Remove
the side fibre and cut into chopped diagonally)
Coriander leaves –
Few
Salt – To taste
Water – 2 Cups
METHOD
- Heat oil in a pan; add chana dal, urad dal and mustard seeds wait it for splutter.
- Add dry red chillies and sauté it for 15 seconds add shallots and sauté it for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped carrot and beans sauté it for 10 minutes then add tomatoes, curry leaves and salt sauté it till the vegetable half cooked.
- Now add 2 cups of water and cover with lid till high boiling on medium flame.
- Now add the vermicelli and stir it on low flame.
- When the water fully absorbs by the semiya switch off the flame and spread coriander leaves and cover with lid for 10 minutes.
- Serve it hot with sugar or coconut chutney.
NOTE
- You can add your favourite veggies.
- Add turmeric powder will gives good aromatic flavour n color.
- Can squeeze lemon juice in last stage instead of adding tomatoes.

ReplyDeleteThis is more like vermicelli biriyani or pulao :) Khichdi is a food which is made up of rice and lentils mixed with veggies (optional) and gives a sticky and mushy texture. This Dish looks super look, I make it sometime at home :)
