friends, Christmas bakes are super going in our blog world… You can make Vegan
Chocolate Brownies for your celebrations. Easy and simple egg-less butter-less
chocolate brownies, serve with drizzle of homemade chocolate syrup and choco
chips. The brownie is very tasty, moist and chocoholic… The original recipe was
vegetarian, but adds substitute butter with olive oil and honey with jaggery
syrup. But it gives worth effect, super delicious.

INGREDIENTS
Maida/APF
– 1 ¼ Tbsp + 9 Tbsp (135 g)
Water
– ¼ Cup
Granulated
white sugar – 6 Tbsp
Brown
sugar – 2 Tbsp
Olive
oil – 3 Tbsp
Jaggery
syrup – 1 Tsp
Vanilla
essence – ½ Tsp
Water
– 3 Tbsp
Coco
powder – 3 Tbsp
Baking
powder – ¾ Tsp
Baking
soda – ¼ Tsp
Salt
– 1/8 Tsp
METHOD
- Take a pan add 1 ¼ Tbsp of maida with ¼ cup of water stir it well without any lumps and cook it till thickens and remove from the flame and cool it completely. (I don’t the reason of this step which given in the original recipe, I missed the source:P If you know the reason for this step, tell me…;)
- Preheat the oven @ 180° C/350 F.
- Take a wide mixing bowl, add white sugar, brown sugar and olive oil mix it well then transfer the sugar oil mixture to the wet maida mixture.
- Then add jaggery syrup, vanilla essence and 3 Tbps of water mix it well till combine everything.
- Now add sifted maida, coco powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix it well into smooth batter.
- Transfer the batter into greased baking pan or parchment lined baking pan.
- Bake it for 30-40 minutes, mine got cooked 37 minutes.
- Check with tooth pick or knife insertion on the center of the batter whether it’s cooked or not.
- Take out from the oven and cool it well.
- Slice with sharp knife into square bars.
- Serve it with homemade Hershey’s chocolate syrup or strawberry syrup with choco-chips toppings.
NOTE
- If you like butter adds unsalted butter instead of olive oil.
- Temperature may vary oven to oven, so check after 30 minutes.
