Baby Potato looks beautiful is it? Many of them like the combo of sambhar rice and potato fry, if it's in our lunch we don't need anything isn't? Oh! I heard that you all are saying Yes! Yes!... Already I posted Potato Roast in Stir fry category..
Kids never say NO for this curry. During my school days weekly twice sometime thrice my lunch box carried sambhar or paruppu (Dal) Rice with this curry... Wow! What a combo... its just drool me When i typed itself... And You know one thing Whenever i carried this in my lunch box i couldn't get even single piece of this curry... All my friends emptied the lunch box in interval period itself without knowing me... When I opened my box its full empty... You too try this and let me know!!!
INGREDIENTS
Oil - 2 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Musturd - 1 tspBaby
Onion - 1 chopped
Garlic - 10 crushed
Curry leaves - 1 stick
Baby potatoes - 15-20
Water - to boil potatoes
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Curry masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
METHOD
- Wash the baby potatoes and pour water to it with 1/2 tsp salt and keep in MW oven for 12 minutes (In my MW has option for Potato cook).
- Take the potatoes from oven and peel off and cut into 2 half if its big.
- Now marinate the potatoes with all spice powders with salt and keep it aside for half an hour.
- Heat oil in a kadai, add fennel seeds wait till it splutter and add crushed garlic fry for few minutes and then add curry leaves and chopped onion fry it till raw smell goes.
- Now add the marinate potatoes and fry till well cooked and raw smell goes.
- Serve it hot with sambhar rice or paruppu rice...
