Hi friends, Hope all of you enjoyed your weekends with family and friends... And festive mood going on... All of you preparing for Vinayagar Chathurthi too... Right? Well! Today I posting Appetizer category... Purple cabbage pakoda... Yeah! I already posted Purple Cabbage Poriyal/Stir fry and the pakoda is best snack for tea time and kids too love it...

INGREDIENTS
Purple cabbage shredded - 2 cup
Onion - 2 chopped lengthwise
Curry leaves - 2 sticks
Green chillies - 3 finely chopped
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Besan flour - 3 Tbsp
Corn flour - 1 Tbsp
Dosa batter - 1/2 cup
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil - to deep fry
METHOD
- Take a big bowl add shredded cabbage, onion, green chillies and curry leaves mix well.
- Now take another bowl add all flours with salt and add red chilli powder and hing mix well.
- Now add the flour mixture into the cabbage and add dosa batter to it and mix well by hand.
- Heat enough oil in a kadai for deep fry. Once the oil turns hot, reduce flames to medium. Test with small fritters.
- Make some fritters and deep fry till they turn golden brown and using ladle take it and put it in tissue paper.
- Likewise fry all the mixture and take it.
- Serve hot with Tea/Coffee.

ReplyDeleteDont these fritters get soggy after a while. Am not sure, I have never had Cabbage Pakodas before, so a bit skeptical about them.. Colour is quite nice !

rice flour will keep crispiness for long time... but when we cover it while is hot it will be soggy Nupur.. but taste good...
