WHEAT BISCUITS/COOKIES

Hi friends, today I posting biscuits/cookies variety. I love baking; mostly I prefer butter less version and no way for Egg to enter my baking at any form. I got this recipe from Sangeetha - Spicy Treats, her cookies looks so yummy at the second itself I bookmarked it and did one day. And I add coco powder in my version.  This is healthy biscuit too because used Whole wheat flour and less butter only... 

I have not taken any store bought biscuits for past one year... But I always crazy for biscuits, every time when I feel to have snack bought Milk Bikis and had full pocket but now strict no to store bought one... So I seeking for healthy biscuit and already made Ragi Cookies and posted it... 

You too try this wonderful version of Wheat biscuit and enjoy friends...




INGREDIENTS
Whole Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Coco powder - 1 Tbsp
Unsalted butter - 1/2 Tbsp
Salt - pinch
Sugar - 2-3 Tbsp
Cardamom - 5
Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
Water - 4 Tbsp or to knead soft dough




METHOD 

  • First grind the sugar with cardamom, and melts butter keep aside.






























  • Now sift the flour, coco powder, salt, baking powder and sugar mixture and add 1/2 Tbsp butter mix it well without any lumps.
























  • Pre heat oven at 200 degree C.
  • Now add water and knead the dough for 5 minutes and keep aside for  10-15 minutes.


































  • Now take the dough and roll into a thin layer in the table or chapathi mat and cut with cookie cutter or any lid of the container.























  • Using fork prick the biscuit and arranged in a greased baking tray.   


















  • Keep it in oven and bake it for 13-15 minutes or till light golden brown and take out, mine was taken at 14 minutes.



















  • Cool it and serve it with Tea/Coffee.

  8. I and my kid love this very much dear!! I won't use coco powder. Here in USA we won't get this biscuit. SO I usually make it in home. My hubby won't like this. Sometimes, I use besan flour too :) IT is in my draft list. I'll post it soon dear.
