We usually do 16 kaikari kootu, Inippu appam, medhu vadai and Karuppati vadai with rice, dal and rasam. After doing the Pooja tie yellow rope on the hands (unmarried women) and the neck (married women). Then complete our fasting with these neivediyum. I have shared Thiruvathirai Inippu Appam which we offer for the god of the special day. The appam is my most favorite, but we prepare only 7 appams on the special day and reserve the remaining batter in refrigeration and will prepare it on next day to enjoy… J
