birthday treat to my lovely friend cum sis Nathiya. Last year, I had shared Pink
Truffle. This year, we celebrated her birthday in advance at my home with birthday cake which was baked by me. Had good fun. Now I have prepared Rava ladoo/ Rava Urundai. Rava laddu is very
popular sweet in special occasion. Ladoo is popular for Gokulashtami/Krishna
Jayanthi/Janmashtami. Recently, I have complied recipes for Krishna Jayanthi,

You can prepare the rava ladoo in a short time. It needs just
20 minutes for entire process. The ingredients are easily available in our
pantry so can make it anytime to enjoy the delicious sweet balls. The rava ladoo is my dad's favorite and we enjoyed it the yummy ladoo...

INGREDIENTS
Semolina/Rava – 1 Cup
Sugar – ½ Cup + 2 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 Tsp + ¼ Cup
Cashew nuts – 10-12
Cardamom powder – 1 Tsp
Hot Milk – 2-3 Tsp (Optional)
METHOD
- Heat 1 Tsp ghee in pan and roast rava till get nice aroma. Don’t allow let them brown and switch off the flame. Transfer into a plate and cool it.
- Now add 1 Tbsp of ghee into the same pan, roast the cashew nuts into golden brown and transfer into the rava plate.
- Add remaining ghee into the same pan and allow melting and it will be staying warm.
- Powder the sugar with cardamom powder in a blender and transfer into a bowl, then blend the roasted rava and cashew nuts into smooth powder and transfer into the sugar bowl.
- Mix well the rava and sugar powder.
- Pour melted ghee, if it’s not hot heat it lightly and then pour into the mixture.
- Mix it well using ladle, and now it will be look like bread crumbs.
- Now take some amount and shape into round ball tightly and keep it in plate.
- Serve it…
NOTE
- Powder the cashew nut is optional; you can add it as it is.
- If you could not shape the ladoo add little hot ghee or hot milk and mix it well then do shape.
- Low fat Version – Add hot milk little by little instead of ghee, to shape the ladoo.
- Shelf life of Ghee rava ladoo – Can store it in room temperature for a week.
- Milk Rava ladoo – within a day or two.
