Kozhukattai (Modak) is steamed food and of course its very healthy and easy to make. Millets kozhukattai is much more special and I totally love the ragi kozhukattai with sweet stuffing. Kesari is very easy stuffing and very delicious too…;)

INGREDIENTS

Ragi flour – 1 Cup
Oil – 2 Tsp
Water – 2 Cup

Kesari – 1 Cup (See the Note)


METHOD

  • Prepare kesari and keep it ready.
  • Take the flour into mixing bowl.
  • High boil the water with oil and pour little by little to the ragi flour and stir it with wooden ladle.

  • Cover the dough with damp cloth for 10 minutes.
  • Grease your hand and knead it well into smooth dough.
  • Divide into equal balls and flatten it as shown in the picture.
  • Keep the kesari in center of the circle and cover and seal it on the edges.

  • Steam it in steamer or idli pan for 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve it hot…
