IDLI PODI - MOM'S VERSION

Hi friends, today was so hectic to me... Not yet sleep properly be'coz of power cut at night many times...After finishing our breakfast I came to blog my today's recipe, when I sit before system power cut for 3 hours, so I and mom went to shopping for get home need things in the hot summer... Head ache comes!!! Oh!! What a day is this? My laptop also not co-operate with me... My battery is in weak condition when power cut, at the second itself it  shut down suddenly... 

Ok! Guys I bored of my stories, is it? Alright! Forgive me if I bored you... Today I post Idli podi which I used to make crispy garlic idli podi and dosa... I think you all remember that!!! Yes! That podi only I going to post now... Which is very simple and easy to prepare and full of nutrition one and tasty too...If you like this you too try these and let me know dear friends...



INGREDIENTS

Black split urad dal - 1 cup
Dry red chillies - 20 more or less according to your spicy taste
Dry Curry leaves - 1 cup
Hing - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp






METHOD
  • First dry roast black split urad dal and red chillies till turn golden color.





  • Add curry leaves and roast for few minutes till aroma comes and switch off the flame, keep the mixture in a plate to cool it.















  • Now in a heat pan add 1 tsp of hing and 1 tsp of salt mix well and keep it in that heat pan till grinding (Make sure in heat pan only not in flame).



  • After cool it grind in well clean dry mixer  Jar.
  • Now cool it for few minutes and store it in air tight container for future use.

  6. I totally understand the kind of day u must have had :-) Have faced several such days myself! Hope your headache subsides soon.
    Your idli podi is very similar to the kind I make, but i add chana daal n urad daal, so the powder looks slightly yellow :)

  8. Wow viji you have used only few ingredients..I use lots of ingredients like, toor dal, garlic, etc etc etc.. This must be so simple and flavorful!! Will give a try :)

    able to understand your position, daily my mom also complaint about the power cut :( too bad!
